Location: Manchester, NH, USA | Old 3-Screw Blackhawk .357 Just got off the phone with Ruger and to be honest, they werent that helpful. I recently acquired this revolver and was looking for some simple information like date of manufacture, but Riger said they have no info on these revolvers. This is the old three-screw model and has NOT had the transfer bar installed. All she did was rant about how if I drop it, it may fire, and I should send it in to them blah blah blah. Is there ANYWHERE I can find out information on this revolver? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? --Alan |

Location: Manchester, NH, USA | Thanks Opos. I've tried that, and I dont think mine matches anything on there. My serial is 131438. That does start with a '1' but I highly doubt this one is frrom 1955. Any help/confirmation would be mucgh apprecaited! --Alan |

Location: Manchester, NH, USA | Oh I see what you mean now, that makes perfect sense. Starts with a 1 and has six-digits. It would make sense that this is a 1969 then. I'm going to put up a couple photos as soon as I figure out how :-) Thanks again for your assistance!!! --Alan |

Location: Salome Az. | I had an old 3 screw BH and carried it for years without incident, just remember it is a 5 shot and you will be fine. Load one, skip one, load four, go to full cock, then put the hammer down on the empty hole. |
